Our Commitment
The Committee to Elect Steve Shoffner is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to all visitors, including those with disabilities. We believe every Erie County resident has an equal right to access information about this campaign and to participate in the democratic process.
Standards We Aim to Meet
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Current Accessibility Features
- Keyboard navigation support throughout the site
- Descriptive link text and button labels
- Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Text that can be resized without loss of content or function
- Forms with labeled fields to assist screen reader users
Known Limitations
We are an active campaign with limited resources, and while we are committed to accessibility, some areas of this site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and address these gaps.
